Super Sam’s Emphatic Win

Super Sam Craig, North Down’s Aquatech King, stormed to an emphatic win in the PJ Logan Cup at the weekend. Having taken 2nd place the previous week and having been in the form of his life, it was no surprise that Sam was the winner, but the manner of the win took many by surprise.

North Down Rides Take Podium Places Again!

A euphoric Harry Adams announced after the Armagh to Downpatrick Classic, last weekend, that it was ‘… a super day … and EVERYONE (in North Down Cycling Club) is to be congratulated for their contribution. To have two club riders finish ahead of all of the Ulster team and most of the Leinster riders was a terrific performance.’ The North Down club president went on to state that: ‘Six podium places- 3 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third (shared by four different riders) with 4 other top 10 placings and this and is only three weeks into the season!’

Bangor Visit for P&O Irish Sea Cycle Race

The 2009 P&O Irish Sea Tour of the North, now just four weeks away, is shaping up to be a truly international affair, with a total of 8 nations represented in this year’s 110 rider field. With riders from England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Norway on the start list, the event is shaping up to be one of the best in years with four days and five stages of racing to decide the eventual winner.

North Down CC – Double Winners

When North Down Cycling Club’s president, Harry Adams, had the idea of rejuvenating the racing section within the club he could not have been aware of the success his vision would have in such a short space of time.  With only four races completed in the local calendar, the North Down outfit has accumulated no fewer than five placings within the top 10, including two firsts and a second!
