Course Description: New course format incorporating a shorter course than usual with 2 hairpin corners and 5 chicanes all within a 1-mile lap. Racing laps will be fast and exciting for both riders and spectators.

NOTE: SIGN ON CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF EACH RACE.
NO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WHEN ANY RACING IS IN PROGRESS The venue will be open from 18:00 each evening of racing and practice + warm up can be carried out on lower end of circuit not being used. Note: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race. Location of Registration and opening times: Sign on will take place at the race HQ building, at the center of racing course. Sign on closes 15 minutes before the start of the call up for each race. Race numbers: Cycling Ireland racing numbers to be used for all license holders. Limited competition license holders will receive a race number from sign on. First aid location: An ambulance will be parked close to race start location. Car parking: Follow instructions from marshals. Parking available in track center. But no crossing of the track while racing in progress. Toilets: Toilets will be on site. Catering: Tea and Coffee truck

NDCC are proud to offer a scenic coastal route of 100km around the Ards Peninsula which has few NDCC are proud to offer a scenic coastal route of 100km around the Ards Peninsula which has few inclines and takes a break in Portaferry for lunch. So whether you are a serious cyclist or a novice wanting to cycle the distance for the first time the NDCC Bangor Coastal Challenge is the event for you! The Challenge starts and finishes at the Bangor Aurora which has ample car parking and changing facilities. En-route there will be water stations, a “broom wagon” for breakdowns etc. and the event will be overseen by an experienced team of marshalls, with motorcycle, paramedics and ambulance back-up.
