NEW CLUB ROOM – The date of the handover of our new clubroom at the Sportsplex has slipped from 1st February to 1st March. This is no fault of the club but an HR training issue between SERCO and the Council. We have an assurance that we will definitely take possession on 1st March. The new gym will be in place and I will issue further details on joining the gym for £9.99 per month nearer the time. Members who already have full membership of the Aurora will be able to use our gym for no extra charge. We plan to have an open day and official opening of our new clubroom early in March.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP – Renewal of club membership is now due. Thank you to all who have already renewed your membership and we would ask all who have still to renew to do so as soon as possible. Any members who have not renewed their membership by 1st March will be removed from the club mailing list and will not be entitled to attend the club discount night in March.
NEW SPONSORSHIP – Some of you may already be aware that thanks to club member Simon Trainor we now welcome Agnew Seat to our list of club sponsors. Agnew Seat will shortly appear on our club website with a direct link to their website offering members some exclusive deals.
BANGOR CRITERIUM – The club have applied for permission to host a town centre criterium in Bangor in August. If approved this will be the first town centre crit in many years. SEAT & CRC have agreed to sponsor a mid week Criterium League which will hopefully involve a number of other Cycling Ulster clubs. More details will be released when the details have been agreed.
CLUB SUPPORT FOR RACING – Once again the club will be providing rider support program for racing teams at certain selected events. The coordinators for this support will be: Mens – Matty Blayney & Michael McMullan; Ladies – Alison McMullan; Youth – Scott Armstrong.
